this is one of the screenshots showing the process that i took to complete this process. from here i then had to imports screenshots of numbers and words into my scene to be placed at the end of the sequence.
i then placed the images in reverse order to give it the effect of it counting down like it would when in a cinema.to reverse the images i first had to collect and look at each of the images then because of my storyboard i knew which order they needed to be in and so i didn't get confused when changing them around.
the sequence needed to fit within a thirty second length so to do this i either had to cut or shrink the clip and the sound bed. in the end because of the individual screenshot images that i used in my storyboard i shrank and cut some of the clip down to fit into thirty seconds to do this i first had to select the razor tool to cut away parts of the clip that were to long or just to similar and this was good as it didn't take anything away from the scene. I also shrank it down so that the render would play at a faster frame rate. The process i took to do this was to select either end of the render and just shrink it down.
to change the sound bed i couldn't cut away any of the sound because it would ruin the audio and wouldn't be the original sound bed i was supposed to use but the sound bed is 30 seconds longs so it worked as a good guidline for when i was editing and cutting away at my original rendered clip.
